I received my first camera when I was 8 years old and have been taking pictures ever since. For the last several years I have been using two Nikon 35 mm cameras. I'll likely always use a 35 mm but I'm experimenting with medium format also.

I often overlook the more grandiose scenes for the simpler objects to photograph. It really all depends on how the light can be captured and the emotion that transpires from the moment the shutter is released. Although I photograph in both color and black and white, it's the B & W that I feel captures the true essence and dynamics of the subject.

I have resided in Illinois, Wyoming, Northern Virginia, Colorado and now the "Big Sky" country of Montana with my two children... 2 dogs, cat, hamster and box turtle... and a darkroom.
